The Harvest

Chorus

The harvest truly is plenteous, yet the laborers are few.

We’ve got to spread the gospel, or what can men do?

They’re depending on our message, or their lives will be in vain

We must warn the lost and dying of the torments of the flame.

Verse 1

A certain man was rich, dressed in fine clothes,

Eating nicely everyday

A beggar at his gate lay full of sores,

Whom this man would send away

But at death he realized that from hell there’s no escape.

In anguish he cried out, “It’s too late.”

Chorus

Verse 2

Seeing Abraham afar he cried,

“Please send Lazarus in your name

To warn my friends and family of this place,

and the torments of the flames.”

But men will not repent though one rose from the dead.

So we must go and tell them what Jesus said.

Chorus

Bridge

Since You Heard His Word you know his plan is to seek and save the lost

Tell them of his gracious love for man and the power of the Cross

It’s not his will for man to die, so people must be told.

Gaining this world will cost a man to LOOSE HIS SOUL.

Chorus
