Perilous Times

Intro

So send I you.  So send I you be not afraid.

So send I you.  So send I you be not ashamed.

Chorus

These are perilous times. These are Perilous Times

These are Perilous Times, when the Gospel must be proclaimed

Verse 1

In this generation characterized by sin

Where there is no solution in the philosophies of man,

Where God’s description is that men would be lovers of self,

Concerned about their own needs and caring for nobody else

Boasters, proud, and disobedient to parents

Without natural affection, despisers of those that are good

Unthankful, unholy, and filled with covetousness

They are lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God

Chorus

Verse 2

We have been commissioned to spread the Gospel in Jesus Name

Yet the Church has lost its vision for dying souls and wants to be entertained

We’ve substituted the altar call and the sinners prayer

And will not preach repentance- offering a God of Love you shouldn’t fear.

In this state of confusion what can we do? We’ve tried the proposed solution

But the heart of man wax worse through and through.

With so much emphasis on mass healings and big crusades

The reason He came, the answers the same,

The Gospel must be proclaimed in His name

Chorus
